SICILY. Segesta. Circa 420-416/5 BC. Onkia (Bronze, 13 mm, 2.15 g, 12 h). Head of the nymph Aigeste to right, wearing hairband and with her hair bound up in a krobylos. Rev. The river-god Krimisos, in the form of a hunting dog, standing right, on the scent; above, pellet (mark of value). Bérend, Monnayage, Group A, 9. CNS I, 5. HGC 2, 1191. Hurter pl. 29, 3 (this coin). A lovely coin with a beautiful olive green patina. Minor smoothing, otherwise, about extremely fine.
